Evaluation/ Reflection
My process behind my final project first started off with needing a new model after i lost my winged man. So i decided to make some attempt at a lizard/ dragon of some sort. While working on it, i used reference images of komodo dragons as they were the most similar to what my lizard turned into. After the basic shaping of the dragon, he was still smooth all around. That had to go. What real lizard is smooth and scaleless? So to fix that i added scales all over the top portion of his body, leaving a smooth underbelly. To make the "scale" texture on the mesh, i used the imprint tool with a stamp containing small oval shaped holes. To make the scales pop more, i changed the falloff of the imprint tool to be less of a sloping curve and more of a sharp abrupt curve. Last but not least the feet were still the default long skinny iguana styled toes. I fixed that so they were closer together, larger and less sporadic. I also added claws to each of the feet and came out with the final project featured in the below post.
